On the way back from the mall to buy a new year’s eve dress, I spotted this panda bear, just sitting all alone in the bus stop. Of course, I loved it.
Photograph by marco zanta for arch daily. Super neat house in mostly white, with fun pops of color. Sometimes white can seem sterile, but here it looks so comfortable and airy and nice. More photos at arch daily.

I will confess, I’m kinda tired of all the rah-rah bacon and oooooooo, pork belly talk in the media, on the Internet, and everywhere else. And by saying that, it’s not like I’m trying to be all, “I liked bacon before bacon was cool.” Not at all. I just have reading-and-talking-about-pork fatigue. I mean, I get it: I love pork and you love pork. What’s not to...

From your status is annoying. So, I’m kinda obsessed with your status is annoying. People write the craziest shit! The commentary for this one from the website was pretty funny, too: I was hitting the snooze button on this one until Joe Blow swooped in AND MADE IT AWESOME.

Mom and I stayed up and watched movies (Moonstruck and Love Actually) with the fire going.
Image by Matt of Our Labor of Love. How bad ass is this bout’? I’ve just discovered Matt, who previously worked as an assistant to Whitney and Jesse of Our Labor of Love, and now takes photos on his own sometimes. He’s got the lock on tattooed brides and grooms, vegan wedding cakes/cupcakes, etc. so check his work out.

Image from ecrater. Oh, y’all. I was always a little bit anti-Snuggie, but I need this so badly. How perfect would it be for cuddling up on the couch to watch baseball games come April?

Mini Jersey Shore marathon. I’m in love with this show. I know it gets flack, but I think I’m actually learning kind of a lot from it. I have big issues with self confidence, so it’s nice to see people that maybe don’t have that much going for them, but still think that they’re pretty great, for better or for worse.
Image by heist jewelry via i love you much. How amazing are these name knuckle rings by etsy seller Heist Jewelry? I totally want one. I suck at saying my name (weird, I know…), especially when it’s really loud, so how great would it be to point to my hand at a bar or something when meeting new people? Want!

Photo by Harry Borden for Outside Magazine. I fell very much in love with Slovenia and its people this summer, so my Mom clipped an article from Outside magazine about Martin Strel, a Slovene long-distance swimmer, for me. It’s a really interesting read. Check it out here. Strel’s childhood is full of fabulous tales … He learned to swim, he says, in a pool he made by damming the...

I updated my “blogs I like” section. I’ve gotten pretty into google reader and added a lot of new subscriptions. (There aren’t many time-killers better than reading through great blogs.) What are some of your favorites?

When I came home, I put all of my things on my bed, so I decided to sleep in my brother’s room instead, surrounded by sports memorabilia and cuddling with his stuffed bear, Barry. (Very creative name.) My lucky brother is in Costa Rica for winter break!

There’s a snowman in my gmail. I don’t even know what to think. I was going to run to the window to check, but that just seemed like it would be a waste of energy. (I’m home in Florida right now.) ps, is that a drunk monkey on the snowman’s head? is that a thing? Winter is such a mystery!

Three bean burritos (no cheese, no onion) at the Taco Bell in bustling Adel, Georgia as I drove down to Florida. I set out before seven and was starving, so I was the only one enjoying lunch at Taco Bell at 10:30 am.

\Maybe flirting with a cute bartender a little: Me: You’re cute. Him: Thanks. I’m Matt. What’s your name? Me: Tammy. Then he shows me his wrist, and my name is tattooed there! Cool! (Also his mom’s name, how super cute, huh? Nashville boys are the sweetest.)

Photographs by Our Labor of Love. Oh, oh, oh! Oh my goodness! Drooooool. All of their work is amazing, but Our Labor of Love’s shots from Patrick & Elise’s wedding are absolutely breathtaking.
(Yes, I am in full-on procrastination mode here, y’all. I’ve gotten to the point where I know this project will get done, so I feel alright about taking my attention from it for a bit.) Image from matt robinson via swissmiss. Matt Robinson wrote enlarged samples of popular fonts in ball-point pen and then looked at the amount of remaining ink to see which are the most ink efficient....
Image from design*sponge. I’m so, so in love with chalkboard walls. Sometimes I can’t wait to have my own little home, though I’m really awful with design, and I’m not quite at the point where I want to nest, either alone or with a boy. Anyway, you should see how this dresser started out!

This song, Star Star by the Frames, is absolutely amazing. Please listen to it, because I just know that you’ll love it. (I’m sure it’s evident from his distinctive voice, but the Frames is fronted by Glen Hansard, from the movie once and now in the Swell Season with Marketa Irglova.)
