I’m still not really sure if I think this was a cute outfit or not, but anyway. I’m sort of crazy about these scalloped-hem shorts, but then again I feel like an overweight dude going golfing when I wear them.

Regardless, this outfit was vastly improved when I added one of my favorite floral crowns before we headed out to a pumpkin beer festival—the colors match nearly perfectly. This was a noteworthy addition because it earned me my first ever outfit compliment in Oregon. Jeez louise, folks are real stingy with the compliments here. (I can’t help it, I live for ‘em.) I’m pretty sure that the less fashionable a city is, the more likely people are to take a liking to cute, fun outfits. I’m looking at you, DC and Salt Lake.
