About

Even though it was a long weekend for me, it still seemed to go by way too fast.  I promise I’ll shut up about it, but Thursday we saw David Byrne and St. Vincent in Portland. The next day, we went to an amazing apple tasting festival where we tried about thirty types of apples and ten varieties of pears. I also got to try a few great hoppy beers: Base Camp’s Hoptastic Voyage, Double Mountain’s just-released IRA, and Laurelwood’s Deranger Imperial Red. We spent an embarrassing chunk of our time in Portland plopped on our friends’ couch watching Breaking Bad. We may have watched the first season in one day. Whoops. It’s the best show I’ve watched in a long, long time. We headed back to Eugene Saturday morning, where I spent most of the next two days trying to stay warm and cracked open Norwegian Wood for a re-read. I’m coasting into Monday as best I can, but I’d way rather be in bed watching Breaking Bad or reading Murakami.
