Everyone who knits should make me one of these. I’ve been after a huge, chunky cowl scarf for a while, but I couldn’t find the right one for a decent price. My mom has been looking to get back into knitting and while I was home, we picked up a gorgeous flecked oatmeal-color yarn and she’s about halfway done with my dream scarf. (Truth told, at first I was really nervous because I thought it looked not so great, but as she kept working on it, it became exactly what I’m looking for. Yesss.) The free pattern is here. (Jen, I’ll take one in burgundy, please. ;) I tried to learn to knit a few years back but I’m helpless, or else I’d be whipping these up for everyone I know.
